I will respond to your first paragraph soon, but at this paragraph. We need to understand history before we move forward I guess you agree with me it was a very terrible thing that men used to do to women. God's laws was to give them their rights. Here is few interpretation of proofs from the Quran
"I shall not lose sight of the labor of any of you who labors in My way, be it man or woman; each of you is equal to the other (3:195)"
"O mankind! Be conscious of your Sustainer, who has created you out of one living entity (nafs), and out of it created its mate, and out of the two spread abroad a multitude of men and women. And remain conscious of God, in whose name you demand your rights from one another, and of these ties of kinship. Verily, God is ever watchful over you! (4:1)"
"Verily for all men and women who have surrendered themselves unto God, and all believing men and believing women, and all truly devout men and truly devout women, and all men and women who are true to their word, and all men and women who are patient in adversity, and all men and women who humble themselves before God, and all men and women who give in charity, and all self-denying men and self-denying women, and all men and women who are mindful of their chastity, and all men and women who remmber God unceasingly: for all of them has God readied forgiveness of sins and a mighty reward." (33:35)
There are so many more verses in the Quran about women and men being the same equal. Those are proofs and there are many more... like I said you need to keep reading to understand and reflect. Now a days your right some ppl dont follow islam and claim it to be. but this shouldnt mistaken us from the truth.
Now what are men and women equal in, everything. We have different roles men do not bare children and are created stronger therefore they are the hunters and they supply to their women whatever she needs. She can bare children..so she is created to take care of them because there is no love for a child like a mothers love. Im assuming you agree with me so far because you have children. So now we can agree we have different roles and we are made differently for a specific purpose. Men are much stronger then women physically? Can you agree on this? Women are softer and weaker physically. Are we equal sure yes what goes for men in the eyes of God goes for women too..no difference. Now you see ppl being different when it comes to this, now your mistaken this is culture nothing to do with religion. If you want to talk about books we will talk books, if you want to talk about ppl we will talk about ppl.

I hope I can keep putting these proofs out to you so you can understand my faith and why I choose it, and why I do not do the things I used to do because of my love for God, like i said Im a convert and I studied alot you must study history to understand, I will get back to you on Mohammed and yes before Mohammed ppl did believe in God since the beginning of civilization and the laws were all the same, I will explain later on this subject and I thank you for respecting my Islamic faith and my practices. :) Also before I leave you said Mohammed married a young girl is it in the Quran? Prove to me it is? and than we can talk about it, I believe in the words of God which is the Quran show me where it says it please? |
